Join a dedicated team providing exceptional anesthesia care in a supportive rural hospital setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to work independently with supervision and support available 24/7, primarily handling bread-and-butter cases along with obstetrics. Be a vital part of a small, close-knit community healthcare environment where your skills will make a real difference in patient outcomes.
In this position, you will manage between 5-6 starts daily, focusing on general adult and obstetric cases, with a smaller share of adolescent ENT procedures. Expect approximately 30-40 deliveries per month in a setting that emphasizes comprehensive patient care for diverse age groups. The work schedule consists of five 8-hour day shifts (08:00 - 17:00) with six night call shifts per month, in a 3-month block with the possibility to extend.
Required Skills:
- Current certification as a CRNA
- Valid state license and certification
- Strong independent anesthesia practice skills
- Ability to work effectively in a rural hospital environment
- Excellent patient management and communication skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior obstetric anesthesia experience
- Experience working in similar small or rural hospital settings
- Ability to handle a diverse case load efficiently
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- Minimum of 2 years of anesthesia experience, preferably including obstetric cases
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work with a supportive team of anesthesiologists and perioperative staff
- Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges within 30-45 days
- Travel reimbursement, licensure, and certification expenses covered as applicable
