Certified Pharmacy Technician, Outpatient Pharmacy (Per-Diem)

Purpose & Scope:

Assists licensed pharmacists prepare prescription medications, provides customer service, and performs administrative duties within the outpatient pharmacy. Also responsible for answering telephones, stocking shelves, and operating cash register.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:

One year of outpatient/ retail pharmacy experience is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

Licensed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required.
