Schedule: Full Time | Rotating between 5:30A - 9:00P | Every 3rd weekend
How you'll make an impact in this role:- Specialized Clinical Support: Performing hazardous drug compounding, managing nuclear pharmacy tasks, and conducting detailed medication histories.
- Access & Advocacy: Serving as a "financial navigator" by handling benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and enrolling patients in Patient Assistance Programs (PAP).
- Pharmacy Operations: Managing automated dispensing systems (like Pyxis or Omnicell), overseeing drug shortage management, and handling bulk repackaging.
- Advanced Clinical Roles: Acting as an immunizer (where state law allows) and serving as a "Pharmacist Extender"—a modern role that offloads clinical data gathering from the Pharmacist.
- Revenue Cycle Management: Coding and batching charges, billing Medicaid for long-term care residents, and ensuring accurate financial documentation.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.
And One or more of the following Required:
- Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.
- Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
