Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Location: Garden City, CO
Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year

Summary
In this role, you’ll help patients practice the skills that matter outside the clinic dressing, grooming, functional movement, hand use, and daily routines. You’ll work under the supervision of an OT, keep documentation clean and timely, and help patients move toward realistic, functional goals.

Responsibilities

• Run individual therapy sessions aligned with OT goals and care plans
• Support patients with functional tasks, adaptive strategies, and safety awareness
• Take and record measurements (strength, ROM, coordination, functional performance)
• Provide clear feedback to the OT on patient progress and barriers
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow compliance standards
• Assist with equipment setup, clinic flow, and treatment area readiness

Requirements

• Associate degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Current CO COTA license (or pending/eligible with proof)
• NBCOT certification
• Basic proficiency with EMR/documentation systems
• Strong patient-facing communication and teamwork skills
