Position Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Medical/Surgical
Location: Syracuse, NY
Assignment Length: 15 Weeks
Schedule: Days, Evenings, or Nights Available
Shift Structure: 6 shifts (12-hour) per two-week period
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
Pay Rate: $26 – $31 per hour (Based on Experience)
Position Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join a Medical-Surgical unit for a 15-week assignment in Syracuse, NY. The CNA will provide direct patient care while supporting the nursing team in delivering high-quality, compassionate care. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
Monitor and document vital signs accurately
Support patient mobility, transfers, and repositioning
Maintain clean, organized patient rooms and ensure adequate supply levels
Observe and promptly report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
Follow infection control policies and safety protocols at all times
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
Qualifications
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical experience preferred
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
