What you’ll do

  • administer medications to residents as prescribed and accurately document administration

  • observe, document and report medication effectiveness, side effects and adverse reactions to nursing staff

  • promote and protect resident rights during medication administration

  • store, handle and account for medications according to policy and regulations

  • maintain accurate medication records and shift accountability

  • obtain, document and report vital signs as indicated during medication administration

  • follow infection control and medication safety practices

  • inspect, clean and monitor equipment and supplies used in medication administration

  • communicate clearly and professionally with residents, staff and leadership

  • seek guidance from licensed staff when clinical clarification is needed

  • assist with additional resident care duties as assigned


What you’ll bring

  • current Kentucky CNA certification 

  • Successful completion of the medication aide examination (MACE) in Kentucky

  • high school diploma or GED

  • completion of a medication administration training program approved by the Commonwealth of Kentucky or equivalent

  • at least 1 year of experience in a long-term care or senior living setting preferred

  • strong attention to detail and commitment to medication accuracy

  • ability to follow clinical direction and regulatory standards

  • clear and professional communication skills

  • commitment to resident-centered care and teamwork

  • successful completion of pre-screening hiring requirements
