Certified Medical Coder

• Job qualifications & certifications:
  • Active CPC, CCS, or CCS-P certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional or facility coding experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CMS, OIG, and payer documentation requirements.
  • Experience with multispecialty coding strongly preferred.
• Skills:
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in EHRs and coding software.

• Review clinical documentation and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific guidelines.
• Query providers for clarification as needed.
• Assist with coding audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain productivity and accuracy benchmarks.
• Support coding education for internal teams and providers.

• None or minimal; primarily office-based.
