Join RKM and make a difference in the community by providing primary care in an ambulatory health setting as part of a primary care team. Since 1999, our mission is to provide open access to quality patient-centered healthcare in the communities in which we live. RKM Primary Care is a Federally Qualified Health Center with 11 clinics in 5 parishes.
Direct Patient Care:
Direct Patient Care:
- This position delivers primary care in an ambulatory heath setting, as part of a primary care team.
- Verify patient information, obtain vitals & document in EMR.
- Interact with patient to obtain medical history & document in EMR.
- Ensure all reports/labs are available.
- Maintain specimens as ordered by the Provider.
- Perform EKGs as ordered by the Provider.
- Maintain exam rooms and equipment.
- Record keeping.
- Perform control checks for lab equipment.
- Admin duties as directed – process phone messages/scanning.
- Assist with team coverage through the organization as needed/requested.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (Required).
- Current Basic Life Support (Required).
- Prefer experience in ambulatory care setting, preferred.

Starting Salary Range: $13.20 – $18.27 per hour; up to 3% annual increases.
