Certified Dealer Instructor

Compensation

Pay: $75,000- $85,000 per year

Your Day‑to‑Day

As a Certified Dealer Instructor, you will:

• Lead training courses on safe and effective operation of agricultural equipment
• Follow John Deere safety policies and training standards
• Deliver certified courses and track technician progress
• Ensure all training equipment, vehicles, tools, and materials are ready
• Engage students and maintain attendance records
• Prepare students for their roles through hands‑on and classroom instruction
• Tear down classrooms after sessions
• Schedule in‑house technician training
• Continuously develop your own John Deere product knowledge

Qualifications

• Forklift, man lift, and loader operator certifications
• 5+ years of service repair experience
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems (off‑road, construction, lawn care, or heavy equipment)
• Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for training
• Strong computer proficiency
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to climb, bend, stand on concrete, and lift 75 lbs regularly

Preferred:

• Experience with computer‑based diagnostic tools (e.g., Service ADVISOR)
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, agri‑business, or related field
• Proven record of meeting performance metrics
