VCG is looking for a senior Oracle Cerner Technical Systems Engineer to support a Regional Digital Solutions team, responsible for supporting IT system solutions that deliver the safe and consistent patient care across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Excellent communicator to team and leadership
- Mentorship to Junior System Engineers
- Ability to provide and update required documentation
- Ability to complete Domain Refresh with or without data scramble
- Ability to provide production and non-production Cerner Back-end Support including:
? Olympus
? WTS Location
? Deployment manager
? Environment manager
? Citrix in regard to Cerner (Intermediate level)
? Thick Client Installation and support
? Lights On
? XR Printing
? CPDI Scanning
? CAMM database
? WebSpere (intermediate level)
? Linux (intermediate level)
? Disaster Recovery Toolkit
? Millennium Objects
? Downtime processes
? Code and Software management
? Security Management
? System Performance Monitoring

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Information Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering within large, complex organizations
- Strong understanding of the Oracle Health / Cerner architecture and data model
- Strong understanding of core Microsoft technologies including Windows Server and Active Directory
- Understanding of core networking concepts and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of Linux/RHEL (LPI certification an asset)
- Understanding of CCL and discern rules
- Understanding of Citrix environments
- Understanding of Oracle Database administration and WebSphere Application Server configuration
- Strong understanding of systems development life cycle
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
