Compensation: $130,000 – $180,000 (dependent on experience)
Our client is a leader in the financial services field and is seeking a strategic, mission-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to guide the organization through its next phase of growth, operational excellence, and community impact. This executive will be responsible for setting the overall strategic direction while ensuring strong financial performance, regulatory compliance, and a high-performing organizational culture.
The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors to support long-term sustainability and deliver exceptional value to members/customers and the communities served.
OVERVIEW OF THE CEO ROLE:
- Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic plans aligned with organizational goals
- Drive sustainable growth initiatives while maintaining a strong risk management framework
- Lead innovation and modernization efforts, including technology and process improvements
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
- Ensure capital adequacy, liquidity, and overall financial stability
- Maintain strong internal controls and operational best practices
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state financial regulations
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulators, auditors, and external partners
- Partner with the Board of Directors on governance, reporting, and strategic initiatives
- Build, lead, and retain a high-performing executive leadership team
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and service excellence
- Support talent development and succession planning across the organization
- Act as a visible leader within the Pittsburgh market and surrounding communities
- Strengthen relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and industry organizations
- Represent the organization at professional and industry events
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE CEO ROLE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within a financial institution
- Executive-level experience overseeing strategy, financial operations, and compliance
- Strong understanding of financial services regulations and governance
- Proven ability to balance growth initiatives with risk management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
