How you'll make an impact:

Data Analysts in Carrier Data Services (CDS) work closely with our Business Analysts, and the business and technical teams at our carrier partners.  Data Analysts analyze and break down large amounts of data in Excel to determine the appropriate resolution to issues on data feeds.  This person understands the carrier’s data requirements and system editing processes.  They understand Gallagher Bassett’s Risx-Facs system capabilities.  The Data Analyst also works with IT, Account Management, and other internal departments to facilitate error resolution.  They understand the development processes of GB and our carrier partners.  This role requires an analytical approach and problem-solving skills.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review all carrier data errors to determine root cause of issue and the responsible department for resolution.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, findings and recommendations to internal and external clients.
  • Coordinate corrections for claim input issues with the Client Services Manager/Resolution Manager and communicate back to the carrier.
  • Work with our Service Center on projects to correct errors.
  • Communicate data issues to the CDS Business Analyst so recommendations can be made for correction/preventative action.
About you:

Required:

  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Solid knowledge in required system and computer applications.
  • High School degree required.

 

Preferred:

  • 1-2 years experience in the insurance or claims industry preferred.
  • Highly analytical individual with working knowledge of Excel and Sharepoint.

Compensation and benefits:

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
