Nucor Advantage Metals Recycling LLC is hiring a Class A CDL Driver in Kansas City, KS, responsible for safely transporting materials using roll-off trucks and tractor-trailers while ensuring compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations. The ideal candidate has a valid Class A CDL, at least 3 years of verifiable driving experience, and a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.


Compensation & Benefits

• Weekly competitive pay with average annual earnings around $50,000 and potential for additional income through overtime
• Local routes with home nightly schedule (Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–4:30 PM, with occasional overtime)

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record and minimum age of 25
• At least 3 years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience within the last 5 years and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
• Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA regulations and experience using ELD systems
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with strong reliability, attendance, and work ethic
• Experience operating roll-off trucks and knowledge of hydraulic systems preferred (minimum 1 year)
• Ability to safely secure loads, complete inspections, and maintain accurate logs and documentation


Key Responsibilities

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles including roll-off trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and efficient manner
• Transport materials to designated locations on schedule while ensuring cargo is properly secured
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, ELD records, and required documentation
• Follow all company, DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA safety regulations and procedures at all times
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues
