The Catering Coordinator will play a key role in planning and coordinating catering services for internal and external events in a professional services environment. This temporary role is based in New York and requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Description

  • Plans and organizes daily activities and meets requested catering needs and deadlines.
  • Oversees making of coffee in all satellite convenience areas.
  • Responsible for timely upkeep and cleanliness of all kitchen areas, conference rooms, and employee lounge: refreshes conference rooms as necessary.
  • Maintains satellite copy areas and conference rooms by stocking with appropriate catering supplies.
  • Ensures that conference room setups have been prepared and/or food has been ordered and delivered according to submitted requests.
  • Ensures that the Catering Department's refrigerator is stocked daily with beverages.
  • Places lunch orders through applicable software.
  • Maintains inventory of groceries, catering supplies and equipment.
  • Obtains necessary approvals and processes vendor invoices.
  • Acts as backup receptionist as needed.
  • Completes and submits electronic and signed weekly timesheets and PTO requests to manager in a timely manner.
  • Develops and maintains excellent customer service relationships with clients, attorneys, vendors, and administrative staff.
  • Adheres to Firm policies and procedures and supports Firm's initiatives.
  • Attends training classes and completes annual training requirements for skills enhancement.
  • Observes confidentiality of all Firm matters and performs under the guidelines of the Administrative Staff Principles.
  • Any additional responsibilities as required by management.

Profile

A successful Catering Coordinator should have:

  • Minimum two (2) years catering work experience in a professional food service environment, preferably in a law firm.
  • Highly motivated, organized, accurate and detail oriented.

Education/Certifications:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.

Job Offer
