Casting supervisor (aluminum manufacturing)

• Ability to understand and correct quality issues as the arise
• Ability to identify safety issues to ensure a safe casting operation
• High school diploma or an equivalent amount of education, training or experience will be considered
• Excellent communication (written and oral), analytical and organization skills
• Basic computer skills. Excel, Word, Power Point
• Ability to maintain work flow in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work any and all shift configurations as required
• Perform daily review of casting schedule
• Ensure documentation is maintained on each production heat
• Review chemical analysis for each cast for accuracy
• Verify Homogenization documentation for accuracy
• Identify quality issues and report and repair as needed
• Maintain a dialog between operations and management to ensure a smooth operation
• Maintain all necessary consumables related to direct casting of the log
• Perform weekly safety, environmental and process audits to ensure a consistent process
• Must be able to operate all equipment safely and efficiently within the casting facility including but not limited to UT, Alscan, Spectrometer, milling machine, all mobile equipment and support equipment.
• Work with maintenance to ensure timely repairs or preventative items completed
• Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures
• Ensures all companies policies are enforced
• Train hourly team members on all operations as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
