Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Cashier–Clerk to support daily operations within a high-volume towing office. This role processes cash, check, and credit card transactions, assists customers and law enforcement personnel with vehicle-release procedures, and ensures accuracy in documentation and payments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and able to handle challenging customer interactions while maintaining excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Answer high volumes of incoming calls related to towing services and police impounds.
- Assist customers and law enforcement representatives with questions regarding vehicle releases and towing regulations.
- Process impound releases for customers, including those who may be upset or distressed.
- Verify and collect the necessary identification and paperwork required for vehicle release.
- Handle cash and credit/debit transactions; deposit receipts into the safe daily.
- Complete impound paperwork, perform data entry, and ensure legal and procedural compliance.
- Prepare daily balance “drop” forms and maintain accurate financial records.
- Respond to internal and external tow operator inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Cash-handling experience preferred but not required.
- Basic computer knowledge; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license or state ID; must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Regular use of hands and fingers for clerical tasks and computer operation.
Work Environment:
- Office environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Moderate noise level.
- Fast-paced, customer-facing setting with frequent interaction with distressed or emotional individuals.
