Job Summary
The Cash Receipts Specialist is responsible for accurately processing, recording, and reconciling incoming payments, ensuring timely and precise posting to customer accounts and company records.
Responsibilities
- Process and post customer payments and cash receipts in the accounting or ERP system.
- Reconcile daily cash receipts to bank deposits and accounting records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to payments and account balances.
- Maintain accurate documentation and filing of all cash receipt transactions.
- Collaborate with accounting and customer service teams to address payment issues.
- Prepare periodic reports on cash receipts and related financial activity.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to cash receipts.
Requirements
- Previous experience in cash receipts, accounts receivable, or similar accounting function.
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with accounting software and basic office applications.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Ability to handle a high volume of transactions efficiently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Skills
- Data entry and transaction processing.
