A family-owned same-day delivery company with over 50 years of experience is seeking an experienced, professional Cargo Van/Medical Courier Driver to join our growing team.
The primary role as a cargo van driver will be to pick up, transport, and deliver a variety of time-sensitive shipments safely and efficiently while maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service.
In addition to the cargo van driver role, you will also be asked to serve as a medical courier as the need arises. As one of our couriers, you will be responsible for picking up and delivering medical specimens along a designated route throughout the tri-state area and transporting them to a hospital in New York City.
Applicants must have at least one year of courier/delivery experience and a reasonable knowledge of the tri-state area. In both roles, you will serve as a front-line representative to our clients and play a key role in maintaining the trust our customers place in our services.

Core Duties
- Pick up, transport, and deliver time-sensitive shipments throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
- Operate a cargo van or other non-commercial company vehicle throughout the workday on local roads, highways, and city streets in varying traffic and weather conditions.
- Complete scheduled and on-demand deliveries in accordance with dispatch instructions, client requirements, and delivery deadlines.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload freight carefully to prevent damage, loss, or delay.
- Perform inside pickups and deliveries when required by the client or delivery location.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, and proof of pickup and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, clients, and receiving personnel regarding route status, delays, delivery issues, and special instructions.
- Inspect vehicles before and after shifts and promptly report maintenance, safety, or operational concerns.
- Demonstrate safe, defensive, and courteous driving behavior at all times.
- Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance, communication, and customer service.
Medical Courier Duties
- Serve as a medical courier as needed to support designated specimen and hospital delivery routes.
- Pick up, transport, and deliver laboratory specimens, medical records, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and other sensitive materials in a timely and secure manner.
- Follow all company and client procedures related to specimen handling, chain of custody, confidentiality, and time-sensitive medical deliveries.
- Ensure all medical deliveries are handled with accuracy, care, and discretion.
- Transport medical items along designated routes throughout the tri-state area, including deliveries to hospitals in New York City.
Qualifications and Expectations
- At least one year of courier or delivery driving experience required.
- Reasonable working knowledge of the tri-state area, including New York City, required.
- Ability and willingness to make inside deliveries when necessary.
- Have no physical restrictions in being able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently, stay on schedule, and adapt to changing delivery needs.
- Strong commitment to punctuality, professionalism, safety, and customer service.
