Position: Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
Location: Asheboro, NC

Department: HVA-Heart & Vasc Admin
Schedule: Full Time Monday – Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited program in one of the following:
    • Registered Nurse (RN)
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
    • Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
    • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
    • Cardiovascular Tech (CVT)
    • Vascular Intervention (VI)
  • Relevant experience in critical care, emergency services, or Cath/EP lab preferred.
  • Ability to pass Cardiac Dysrhythmias Test and complete department-specific competencies.

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: Graduate from one of the following Accredited Education Programs required: • Registered Nurse (RN) • Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) • Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS) • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) •  Cardiovascular Tech (CVT) • Vascular Intervention (VI). Required.
  • Experience: 
    • If RN, one (1) year of Critical Care, Emergency Services, Cath/EP Lab, or Special Procedures experience; required.
    • If EMT-P, two (2) years of acute care hospital experience; required.
    • If RTR, RRT, RCIS, RCES, CVT or VI one (1) year of experience; preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse (RN)-North Carolina Board of Nursing License Registered Radiology Technologist (RTR) -ARRT Radiology OR Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) credentialing/accreditation and/or Paramedic associate degree from an appropriately recognized Paramedic program. Or Technologist Registry OR Respiratory Therapist-licensed by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) AND Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as RRT. OR Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, Cardiovascular Tech, and Vascular Intervention-graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program. If the Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS) is not a RN, RTR with CI or VI certification, he/she must obtain their Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) within 24 months of hire for continued employment. Required.
  • Additional Skills Required:
    • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing.
    • Pass yearly Cardiac Dysrhythmias Test.
