Advanced Practitioner Role Scope


The Advanced Practitioner will provide direct care to patients in the inpatient setting in collaboration with noninvasive, interventional, structural heart, electrophysiology, and advanced heart failure physicians.

Must have the ability to identify diagnostic information that should be considered emergent and communicate timely information to physician colleagues.

The Advanced Practitioner, in collaboration with a licensed physician and in accordance with the Advanced Practitioners scope of practice and collaborative relationships, prescribe, dispense and administer therapeutic and corrective measures.  The provider should exhibit a passion for cardiology and be open to being part of a rapidly growing institute where adaptability is paramount.

Shift: Full Time Day Shift– 40 hours

M-F, 1 weekend a month, no nights/overnights

Qualifications


 

·                Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant Master’s Program

·                Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an NP or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in the state of Connecticut

·                Experience in cardiology preferred
