Position Overview
Capital Markets Operations Analysts support front-office, middle-office, and back-office functions by ensuring the accurate processing, confirmation, and settlement of capital markets transactions. The role blends operational precision, process management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth execution across the trade lifecycle.
These roles often involve close collaboration with trading desks, syndicate teams, sales, compliance, risk, custodians, and external counterparties.
Key Responsibilities
Support the end-to-end lifecycle of capital markets transactions from trade capture through settlement
Ensure accurate confirmation, booking, and reconciliation of trades across systems
Coordinate with internal teams and external counterparties to resolve trade breaks and discrepancies
Monitor settlement timelines and ensure timely delivery of cash and securities
Support new issue settlements and corporate actions processing
Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to operational and regulatory requirements
Identify process inefficiencies and recommend operational improvements
Assist with daily, weekly, and ad-hoc operational reporting
Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and internal controls as needed
Help implement system enhancements and process automation initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Operations, or a related field
Understanding of capital markets instruments and transaction workflows
Prior experience or coursework in operations, settlements, or trade processing preferred
Strong attention to detail and process discipline
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with trade processing systems is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities in deadline-driven environments
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Strong interest in capital markets operations and financial infrastructure
