Our Client, a Av Manufacturing company, is looking for a CAE Engineer - Vehicle NVH for their Foster City, CA location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain high fidelity NVH CAE models of body, trimmed body and full vehicle level models.
  • Lead virtual vehicle structure and component development activities for the NVH attribute in close collaboration with project, CAE and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with test engineers to lead the structural correlation virtual to physical.
  • Lead execution of virtual DVPs, generate concise reporting and execute design countermeasures according to the engineering process.
  • Drive the use of optimization tools, balancing performance, weight and cost targets.
  • Report out at project gateways.
  • Support the development of virtual tools, methodologies and correlation; continuously improving virtual predictive quality of vehicle level NVH CAE models
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or related field
  • +8yrs of CAE NVH development experience in automotive or related field
  • Expert knowledge of ANSA, METAPOST, OPTISTRUCT
  • Expert in linear structural and vibro-acoustic analysis methods applied to vehicle applications
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop effective solutions efficiently
  • MS or PhD in relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience with higher frequency (SEA) simulation techniques
  • Experience in Vehicle CAE performance development e.g. Roadnoise, Bush rate sensitivity/tuning, Aero-acoustics
  • Experience with basic Python coding
