Job Summary

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for maintaining a purchasing database and managing non-key component purchases. You will also assist with purchasing activities for key components. This is a full-time contracted position with the potential to convert to a permanent role based on business needs, headcount availability, and individual performance.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quotations and review bids for non-key components (C parts).
• Place purchase orders, expedite, and de-expedite materials according to MRP schedule changes.
• Follow up on material shortages and initiate second sourcing when necessary.
• Validate lead times for materials.
• Process RTV (Return to Vendor) materials.
• Resolve invoicing issues and address discrepant material problems.
• Negotiate prices for assigned items or commodities.
• Manage PPV (Purchase Price Variance).
• Oversee ECO (Engineering Change Order) management.
• Manage excess inventory.
• Implement cost reduction strategies for materials.

Qualifications

• Education: B.A. or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of material experience.
• Language: English proficiency required; Mandarin is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Academic functional skills needed to perform assigned tasks.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Collaborative skills.

Swing Shift: 3:15 PM - 11:45 PM
