Job Summary

Join our team to manage and maintain a purchasing database. You will handle the purchasing of non-key components and assist with key component procurement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain quotations and review bids for non-key components (C parts).
  • Place purchase orders and adjust material schedules according to MRP changes.
  • Follow up on material shortages and initiate second sourcing.
  • Validate lead times on materials.
  • Process return-to-vendor (RTV) materials.
  • Resolve invoicing issues and material discrepancies.
  • Negotiate prices for assigned items or commodities.
  • Manage purchase price variance (PPV).
  • Manage engineering change orders (ECO).
  • Manage excess inventory.
  • Implement cost reduction strategies for materials.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1-2 years of material experience required.

Skills

  • Academic functional skills needed to perform assigned tasks.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Collaborative skills.
