Job Description
The Buyer / Planner will support the Materials Manager, responsible for processing all purchase requisitions into purchase orders, initiating purchases to buy inventory to plan, and adding/updating items & BOMs in the ERP system.
Responsibilities
• Items & BOMs: Create and update items and BOMs in NetSuite for device components and assemblies that have been released or revised per DCO.
• Planning: Analyze requirements, maintain ERP parameters, and ensure timely availability of materials for production. Run reports for key process indicators such as inventory levels, open POs, supplier on time delivery, and incoming inspection turnaround time.
• Purchasing: Issue POs for approved purchase requisitions from all departments, including Operations, R&D, and Marketing. Initiate purchase requisitions to replenish consumable supplies and to meet forecast demand of device components. Track open orders and contact suppliers to communicate due dates, expedite requests, and revision changes as needed. Coordinate Return to Vendor materials.
• Receiving: Assist Receiving personnel as needed in receiving incoming batches of components and confirming the receipt matches the PO. Communicate with suppliers to resolve paperwork issues (missing packing list, incorrect documentation, etc).
• Record Retention: File and maintain purchase requisitions, quotes, and purchase orders as Quality Records.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a medical device company.
• Extensive experience using NetSuite preferred.
• Experience with MS-Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Salary Range $65,000 – $120,000 annually
