Pay Rate: $22–$28/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible start time)
Type: 12-month contract (potential for extension and/or permanent hire)
We are actively seeking an experienced Buyer to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running and is comfortable working directly with suppliers, managing purchasing activities, and supporting supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage purchasing activities to ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and quality standards
- Place orders, track materials, and maintain strong communication with suppliers and internal teams
- Support supplier negotiations, contract administration, and relationship management
- Maintain and update purchasing agreements, pricing, and documentation
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, minimizing excess and obsolete materials
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams
- Resolve invoicing and supply chain issues quickly and effectively
- Participate in cost reduction initiatives and process improvements
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of hands-on Buyer experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred)
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Comfortable working directly with suppliers and using purchasing terminology
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Nice to Have:
- Experience with global supply chain or GSM processes
- Certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or APICS
- Lean/Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt) experience
