Business Reporting and Data Analyst for AmeriHome Mortgage Company LLC in Irving, TX
Job Description: Work closely with department staff, technical team members, project managers, business users, and IT staff to deliver from minor enhancements to complex projects. The individual will be researching and analyzing information, anticipating, and recognizing problems and opportunities, creatively developing possible solutions, evaluating alternatives and, using sound judgment to determine the best course of action. Utilize strong SQL skills to write effective queries for data collection, verification, manipulation, and analysis. Optimize data scripts (SQL, Python, etc.) for performance and efficiency. Compile analytical and statistical reports as needed. Formulate, define, and recommend scope and format of reports. Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly presentations using Power BI and PowerPoint to allow leadership to easily grasp key findings and recommendations. Review information for accuracy and reconcile data on a regular basis. Provide internal and external data needs to corporate counterparts. Define, review, and implement best practices for data entry, software security, reporting and information management within database. Map and load data into development environments. Elicit business and functional requirements and document them in our software development life cycle suite of tools. Develops and creates management reporting, including monthly business review materials and presentations. Perform at a high departmental service levels, production, and quality standards. Applies applicable theories and concepts to interpret data, provide analysis and observations. Leverage Azure Dev Ops and version control systems for code base management and deployment processes. Partial remote work available 1 day per week. Reports to the company’s office in Irving, TX.
Job Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Requires 1 year of experience. Must have some experience in or knowledge of each of the following skills: Understanding of frameworks, analytics, programming languages, design, databases and operating systems; Relational databases, Microsoft SQL Server, and Excel VBA; SQL, Python, and MS/Azure Cloud Services; and Power BI or Tableau.
