West Janisch Health Care Center is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Office Manager (BOM) to join our leadership team.

This is not just a billing role; this position is critical to the building's financial health and directly impacts resident care, operational success, and overall outcomes. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, and understands the importance of accuracy, follow-through, and strong communication.

It takes a special kind of professional to successfully manage the many moving parts of a skilled nursing business office, and we’re looking for exactly that person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Business Office
  • Manage billing, collections, and accounts receivable processes
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits for all new admissions
  • Submit and track insurance authorizations on time
  • Follow up on authorization requests and provide status updates
  • Maintain accurate resident financial records and documentation
  • Partner with admissions, nursing, and leadership to ensure seamless transitions of care
  • Communicate effectively with insurance companies, residents, and families regarding financial matters
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility policies

What We’re Looking For

  • Required: Proven experience as a Business Office Manager in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of payer sources: Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Private Insurance
  • Hands-on experience with insurance authorizations and follow-ups
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
