Richmond Health Care Center is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Business Office Assist (BOA) to oversee the financial and administrative operations of our skilled nursing facility. This leadership position plays a vital role in ensuring compliance, revenue cycle efficiency, and outstanding customer service for residents and families.

Position Summary

The Business Office Assistant is responsible for managing all aspects of the facility’s business office operations including:

  • Managed care authorizations

  • Private pay accounts

  • Accounts receivable management

  • Collections and payment plans

  • Insurance verification

  • Trust accounts

  • Coordination of Medicaid pending applications

  • Regulatory compliance related to billing and finance

This role works closely with the Administrator, Corporate Billing, and Department Heads to maintain financial integrity and census stability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily business office operations

  • Ensure accurate and timely billing for Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Private Pay

  • Monitor and reduce outstanding A/R

  • Assist families with Medicaid applications and financial eligibility

  • Verify insurance benefits and coverage

  • Manage resident trust accounts in accordance with state and federal regulations

  • Maintain compliance with CMS guidelines and state survey requirements

  • Prepare financial reports for Administrator and corporate team

    * Weekly Bank deposits


Qualifications

  • Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility business office (preferred but not required)

  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care billing

  • Experience with Medicaid pending process

  • Understanding of long-term care regulations

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities

    Computer skills including and not limited to Microsoft applications, Point Click Care.
