Zumiez Inc. seeks a Business Intelligence Analyst - Financial Planning & Analysis in Lynnwood, WA.

 

Job Description: Business Intelligence Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis will develop and apply mathematical and statistical theory and methods to find innovative ways to increase sales, reduce expenses and drive business decisions. Use statistical, analytical and technical skills to assist the Finance Team with key financial processes such as budgeting and quarterly forecasting. Leverage advanced technical and business expertise to collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data, delivering actionable insights to inform business decisions and drive organizational performance. Provide cross-functional financial analysis and collaborate with various teams to drive cost optimization and improve outcomes across the organization. Create, optimize, and maintain data models, queries, dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools and SQL to ensure effective data visualization and analysis. Build and maintain reports specifically required for high-level business decision meetings. Report results of statistical analysis, metrics and overall business performance visualized through PowerBI using charts, graphs, and other methods to clearly communicate to management and peers. Verify and integrate software applications to ensure data alignment with data warehouse. Collaborate with Information Technology team to drive continuous enhancements of data warehouse, ensuring high availability, scalability, accuracy and reporting. Report analytical findings and drive data transformation initiatives. Position may allow working from home within a commuting distance of worksite location.

 

Annual salary: $125,156.00 - $132,000.00

Job Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Data Analysis, or a related field plus four (4) years of experience as a data scientist, advisor – data analytics, or related. Must possess four (4) years of experience with each of the following: (a) conducting statistical analysis based scripting with R, Python and SQL; (b) Preparing data using Power Query, visualizing data using Power BI and applying DAX for advanced data modeling and KPI development; (c) managing databases with Microsoft SQL Server (d) managing with Jira and Confluence; (e) Automating reporting processes and improving efficiency through ETL and data warehousing methodologies, with expertise in scaling data storage and processing via cloud-based data lake architectures on platforms like SNOWFLAKE and AWS; (f) integrating machine learning techniques for descriptive, predictive and prescriptive statistical analysis using algorithms such as K-Nearest Neighbors, K-Means Clustering, Deep Learning and Time Series Data Analysis. Position may allow working from home within a commuting distance of worksite location.
