Business General Manager (Connect the Dots Insights LLC, Philadelphia, PA): Oversee resourcing across various functions to ensure that the organization is operating efficiently and effectively, including identifying areas of the business where operational processes can be improved. Plan and implement policies to optimize processes and ensure an increase in productivity [20%]; Co-manage the organization’s finances, including budgeting and forecasting, to ensure funding for strategic initiatives and programs, as well as that the organization is operating within budgetary constraints and towards increased efficiency [20%]; Present market trend reports and improvement proposals concerning departmental responsibilities, human resources opportunities, and overall community engagement market trends to the CEO [10%]; Lead business development strategies, including identifying new business opportunities, building partnerships, and expanding the organization's reach, while centering projected macroeconomic trends to better meet industry-specific needs through organization services [15%]; Conduct process mapping and strategic planning, working hand in hand with the CEO to link the strategic plan to the operations and expansion all rooted in empirical evidence supported by economic-based research of current trends [15%]; Directing and implementing learning sharing, risk management, and process systematization initiatives to enable successful project delivery for clients [10%]; and Represent the organization in community engagement and social innovation-related forums, by delivering speeches, making presentations, and writing articles to promote the organization’s services, improve market presence, and strengthen relationships with partners and stakeholders [10%]. In order to perform the above tasks, the following experience and skills are required: Experience implementing Systems Thinking and Evaluation for efficiency and profitability improvement; Experience with negotiation for business development and partnership building; Experience with Microsoft Access, database management system, and user interface and query; Experience with Microsoft Power BI, database reporting, and Microsoft Project, project management; Experience with Microsoft Publisher, desktop publishing; Highly proficient in Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint; Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Miro, Mentimeter, Padlet; Experience with forecasting with Pro Forma Statements; Experience with Vensim PLE, system dynamics software; Experience with using Change Management Theory; Experience with using Competency-Based Education and Performance Evaluation; Experience using Notion as a platform for project management, resource planning, and fostering organizational culture; Experience with Harvest for time tracking, budget monitoring, and project profitability analysis; Experience with Harvest Forecast in support of business operations, resource allocation, and account-level forecasting; Experience with Expensify to streamline expense reporting, receipt tracking, and reimbursement workflows; Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 to support cross-functional collaboration, document management, and streamlined communication; Experience with Gusto to manage payroll processing, employee benefits administration, and HR compliance; and Experience with BidNet and Bonfire to identify, track, and respond to government RFPs, bids, and contract opportunities across federal, state, and local agencies. Requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Strategic Planning, Economics, or related field, and at least three years of occupational experience as a Managing Director, Principal, Senior Advisor, or similar occupation in Social Impact/Community Development Industry.
