Description: Our client is currently seeking a Business Development/Sales Executive

Job Summary

The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving the adoption of Conversational AI and Business Intelligence (BI) product solutions within the clients existing credit union client base. This is a consultative, high‑value sales role that manages the full opportunity lifecycle from qualification to close. The role focuses on selling AI and BI add‑on products, strengthening relationships with senior credit union leaders, and helping mature the clients go‑to‑market approach for these emerging offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development (15%)
Identify and target new credit union clients for Conversational AI and BI solutions. Execute a structured business development strategy focused on expanding solution adoption.

Sales Cycle Management (30%)
Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to close.
Qualify and develop opportunities within assigned territories or verticals.
Prepare proposals, ROI models, business cases, scopes, and implementation plans.
Identify client needs, present solutions, and ensure a smooth handoff to implementation teams.
Participate in industry events, webinars, and conferences to generate leads.

Relationship Building (20%)
Build and maintain long‑term relationships with senior decision‑makers within credit unions.
Engage leaders in IT, operations, customer experience, and analytics to understand goals, challenges, and buying criteria.
Position AI and BI solutions to align with organizational objectives.

Industry Expertise (5%)
Maintain current knowledge of trends in the credit union industry.
Stay informed about AI, automation, data analytics, and competitive offerings.

Collaboration (10%)
Collaborate with leadership, product management, solutions engineering, marketing, information security, client services, and delivery teams.
Ensure solutions align with customer needs and organizational capabilities.

Pipeline Management (5%)
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and opportunity progress.
Provide forecasts, competitive insights, and win‑loss themes throughout the opportunity lifecycle.

Growth (5%)
Identify opportunities for market expansion, new revenue streams, and partnerships.
Demonstrate Conversational AI and BI capabilities, including chatbots, virtual assistants, dashboards, and data integration tools.

Client Success (10%)
Partner with implementation and client service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and adoption.
Address client concerns proactively and ensure high satisfaction.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Computer Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).

Required Experience

7 or more years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in technology or software.
3 or more years of experience selling SaaS, AI, analytics, or enterprise technology solutions.
1 or more years of experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot.

Preferred Experience

Experience selling conversational AI, BI, or data analytics tools.
Experience in financial services, preferably credit unions, with established industry relationships.

Required Skills and Abilities

Strong understanding of the credit union industry.
Ability to manage complex sales cycles, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
Advanced knowledge of conversational AI, chatbots, data warehousing, and data analytics.
Strong relationship‑building and consultative selling abilities.
Ability to communicate business value, ROI, and technical concepts clearly.
Strategic thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills and storytelling.
Motivated self‑starter with a results‑oriented mindset.
Ability to work effectively in team settings.
Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.
Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
Ability to influence multiple stakeholders across an organization.

Additional Role Context

This role sells exclusively to existing cllient hosted credit union clients.
Account Managers generate leads; this role owns qualification, pursuit, and close.
Sales cycles are long and highly consultative.
Role contributes to developing future AI and BI sales processes.
This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experienced in technical or consultative sales.
FinTech background strongly preferred.
Credit union industry experience is a significant advantage.
Comfortable with uncapped commission structures and long sales cycles.
Able to operate effectively in a developing sales environment and add structure where needed.
Hunter mentality rather than a pure farmer profile.

Compensation

Base salary target: 106,000 USD.
Commission: Uncapped, with 90 percent based on individual performance and 10 percent based on Staff Scorecard metrics. Total compensation around 200k, uncapped.

Interview Process

Initial interview with Senior Director.
Follow‑up interviews with Product Management, Client Relations, and Operations leadership.
Final interview with the COO.
