About the Role We are a B2B technology company providing software and hardware solutions to help businesses make smarter operational decisions. We are looking for a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our growth across an assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and identify new business opportunities within Robinson Township, Pittsburgh, and surrounding markets through outbound outreach including cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads to determine fit, budget, and decision-making timelines.
- Schedule and conduct product demonstrations of our software and hardware solutions for prospective clients.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects across target verticals including retail, commercial real estate, hospitality, healthcare, and entertainment.
- Collaborate with the Account Executive team to seamlessly hand off qualified opportunities and support the closing process.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for outreach activity, qualified meetings booked, and pipeline contribution.
- Attend local networking events, trade shows, and business association meetings to represent the company and build relationships.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in the CRM system.
- Gather and relay market feedback, competitive insights, and customer pain points to the product and marketing teams.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage C-suite and operations-level decision makers.
- Self-starter with a high degree of motivation, resilience, and a competitive drive.
- Comfortable conducting high-volume outreach and managing a large number of prospects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling SaaS, IoT hardware, or technology solutions to business clients.
- Familiarity with retail analytics, workforce management, or operational intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of the Robinson Township and greater Pittsburgh business community.
- Experience using sales engagement platforms such as Outreach or Salesloft.
