Job Details
We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to lead new business efforts within the commercial security space. This role is focused on identifying, developing, and closing new opportunities for integrated security solutions including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems.
The ideal candidate is a true hunter with experience selling into commercial environments and a strong understanding of solution-based sales within a technical or service-driven industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within commercial and industrial markets
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline through prospecting, networking, and referrals
- Sell integrated security solutions including access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems
- Conduct client meetings, site walks, and needs assessments to develop tailored solutions
- Prepare proposals, bids, and presentations for prospective clients
- Collaborate with operations and technical teams to ensure accurate scope and successful project execution
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through close
- Build long-term relationships with clients to drive repeat business and referrals
- Maintain CRM activity, pipeline tracking, and sales reporting
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in business development or outside sales
- Direct experience selling commercial security systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion) is required
- Proven track record of generating new business and closing deals in the security industry
- Strong understanding of solution-based or consultative sales within electronic security or low voltage systems
- Experience selling into commercial clients (B2B environments)
- Ability to manage a territory and work independently in a field-based role
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
