Business Development Manager 3

Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Business Development Manager for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be for three months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic individual for a staff augmentation contractor role to temporarily support and enhance our existing team resources. This position involves a hybrid work arrangement, requiring three days a week onsite at Studio D in Redmond. The role offers a possibility for extension in the next fiscal year. The purpose of this team is to align priorities across the team's rhythm of business and partner with leadership and stakeholders to support day-to-day business operations. The role is crucial in driving operational excellence, organizational health, communications, and strategic initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Business Operations:
    • Partner with the leadership team to establish and maintain a strong rhythm of business, ensuring efficient operations with clear priorities.
    • Lead end-to-end planning processes in alignment with corporate planning cycles and integration across broader organizations.
    • Serve as the point person for weekly leadership meetings, including agenda development and content coordination.
    • Support day-to-day business operations, including planning, execution tracking, and operational readiness.
    • Collaborate with finance to support budget, forecast, and headcount management, ensuring financial discipline and transparency.
    • Drive cross-team process improvements to increase operational efficiency and scalability.
    • Maintain team intranet portals, operational processes, access models, and procedures documentation.
  • Organizational Health:
    • In partnership with HR and leadership, help shape and drive the people and culture agenda, ensuring the team remains a great place to work.
    • Lead and support team health initiatives, including morale-building activities and engagement programs.
    • Coordinate planning and execution of team events, both internal and those involving customers or partners.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on organizational effectiveness, change management, and team engagement topics.
  • Communications:
    • Plan and create team communications, including executive comms, newsletters, and meeting presentations.
    • Build strategy, narrative, and content for key leadership meetings, ensuring alignment to leadership vision and business priorities.
    • Manage communications and interactions across a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring impactful engagements.
    • Communicate complex information clearly and effectively across functional teams.
    • Ensure consistent, timely, and clear communication across the organization.
  • Special Projects & Programs:
    • Lead, plan, track, and contribute to cross-team projects and strategic initiatives in support of evolving business priorities.
    • Work closely with leadership team members and cross-company counterparts on integration-related initiatives.
    • Support coordination and execution of key business moments, including fiscal year planning and business reviews.
    • Adapt quickly to changing business needs, taking on new programs and initiatives as required.


Qualifications:

  • Required/Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) and 3-5 years of solid experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles, or 8-10 years equivalent experience.
  • Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
    • Advanced oral and written communication skills, planning, and organizational abilities.
    • Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively with virtual teams.
    • Ambitious, self-starter, thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, effectively manages priorities.
    • Strong relationship-building skills with senior leaders, influencing decision-making, and advocating positions.
    • Exceptional cross-group collaboration skills and conflict resolution abilities.
    • Integrity, excellent judgment, and decision-making skills, with discretion in managing confidential information.
    • Understanding of strategy, product, and service offerings, and company culture.
    • Desirable qualifications include formal training in project and process management, financial accounting, business strategy and operations, and/or communications.
