Business Consultant (Human Resources)

Job Summary: Talent Senior ServiceNow Developer is in search of a Business Consultant (Human Resource) for a contract position that can be worked 100% remotely​​​​. The opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: Join our dynamic team where you will provide expert business consulting services to a niche market. We are looking for a professional with a strong background in business strategy and operations, ready to make a significant impact. This is an exciting opportunity to work remotely, with the flexibility to operate within Pacific Time zone hours. As a consultant, you will offer strategic advice and governance to ensure that business strategies are effectively implemented across various groups. You will support initiatives related to business transitions, including acquisitions, divestitures, and outsourcing.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business groups.
  • Influence and negotiate to achieve business objectives.
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans and identify emerging issues to inform decision-making.
  • Provide expertise on operating procedures, performance management, and workplace accommodations.
  • Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Lead or participate in change management activities, including planning, execution, and evaluation.
  • Manage high-risk matters and represent the business in legal proceedings as required.
  • Monitor legislation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop solutions and make recommendations based on business strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • Educate managers on labor relations management, policies, and employee relations training opportunities.
  • Support strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct independent analysis to resolve strategic issues and provide support for severance and reductions in force.
  • Perform initial intake and assessment for business requests to identify issues and mitigate risks.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders and ensure alignment.
  • Monitor and track program performance, addressing any issues that arise.


Qualifications:

  • Typically, between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Appropriate HR designation preferred.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
  • In-depth verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration & team skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Influence skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities.


Preferred:

  • Previous experience writing policy/procedure.
