Business Analyst – Mortgage / GSE

Join our dynamic team as a Business Analyst, where you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within the mortgage and GSE sector. We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong background in business analysis and a passion for driving innovation in the mortgage industry.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
• 6-8 years of experience in business analysis
• Strong experience in the mortgage industry and with GSEs
• Experience with requirement gathering, process data flow design, technical spec design, and business analysis
• Ability to translate business requirements to technical requirements and define project objectives
• Familiarity with the end-to-end software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Experience with federal government consulting profiles (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae)
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Experience in supporting development, systems integration testing, and user acceptance testing
• Proficient in writing requirements for API-based applications and using tools like Postman or SoapUI

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• 10-12 years of experience
• Background in top-tier consulting firms with Big 4 preferred
• Undergraduate education in the US
• Experience with BBAPM Agile work
• Knowledge of manual and automation testing
• Experience in writing user stories based on business-driven functionality and technical capabilities

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Interface between business and technical teams to ensure alignment and clarity of project goals
• Conduct feasibility analysis and support the development process
• Create and document UAT strategies, plans, and test cases/scripts
• Encourage a customer-centric mindset within the Modern Delivery team
• Provide constructive support to both the Product Owner and IT team in product-related decisions
• Utilize Modern Delivery practices proactively
