Job Details

About the Role: We are seeking a Building Automation Service Technician to support commercial facilities throughout the Akron area. This role is focused on troubleshooting, servicing, and optimizing building automation systems to ensure peak performance, reliability, and energy efficiency. You’ll work closely with customers, service teams, and project staff to maintain and enhance HVAC control systems across a variety of facility types.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair BAS/DDC control systems
  • Perform system commissioning, point to point checkout, and functional testing
  • Support preventative maintenance and service agreements
  • Modify and optimize control sequences, alarms, and graphics
  • Integrate and troubleshoot BACnet, Modbus, and IP based networks
  • Provide technical support and training to end users
  • Document service activities and maintain accurate system records

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Building Automation or HVAC controls
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sequences of operation, and control logic
  • Experience with BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara or Distech is a plus
  • Familiarity with BACnet and IP networking
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and customer facing communication abilities
