A Day in the Life of the Broadband Network Technician I, II, or III:
Detect, troubleshoot and resolve system outages in aerial and/or underground capacities related to transmission levels, signal losses and off-air interference.
Prepare and perform emergency aerial and/or underground coaxial cable restoration due to variables such as cable breaks and/or damage
Perform preventative maintenance (power supply, actives) in the form of testing, balancing, alignment and adjustments of components or equipment
Monitor, record and repair cable leakage, complying with applicable regulations
Observe and assist co-workers with fiber splicing activities
Complete and distribute required documentation, such as work orders and daily logs
Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation
Other duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Table:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 2+ years (telecom technician)
Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's license
Customer Service
Communication (verbal, written)
Basic Computer Skills
Aptitude to learn to skills

Ability to read and interpret maps
Bucket Certified; Ohm's
Understand the Outside Plant

The base salary in Washington for this position is $23.15-$35.74 per hourplus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. It is specific to Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.
BNT I- $23.15-$32.41
BNT II- $24.31-$34.03
BNT III- $25.53-$35.74
