The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Bridge Project Manager to lead a diverse range of projects, from $10M regional efforts to massive, high-profile Design-Build pursuits. This role is designed for a technical expert ready to pivot into a high-level client-facing leadership position.

Core Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Take full ownership of bridge and structural projects, ensuring delivery is within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key regional clients (including VDOT and local agencies), managing expectations and building long-term partnerships.
• Technical Oversight: Provide high-level direction and Quality Management (QM) for structural design teams; you will guide the "big picture" technical decisions.
• Operational Excellence: Develop project management plans, staffing schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Team Mentorship: Lead and develop a growing team of engineers, providing coaching, performance feedback, and technical career pathing.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural focus) from an ABET-accredited program.
• Experience: 10+ years of dedicated bridge and structural design experience, with a clear progression into project management.
• Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. A Virginia PE is preferred; out-of-state PE must be able to obtain VA licensure via comity.
• Delivery Methods: Familiarity with various project delivery models (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and P3).
• Communication: Elite client-facing skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable project updates.
