Our client, an industry leader in automotive innovation, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Brake Performance Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Brake Performance Engineer, you will be an integral part of the vehicle development department supporting the engineering and testing teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a passion for advancing vehicle safety and performance, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $86 per hour + Benefits
What's the Job?
- Develop brake performance and enhance braking comfort through innovative engineering solutions.
- Test and optimize the interaction between brake and drivetrain actuators for seamless vehicle operation.
- Establish and monitor metrics and targets to ensure vehicle-level performance standards are met.
- Translate system requirements into detailed specifications for components and systems.
- Refine testing methodologies to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of results.
What's Needed?
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering with 5-8 years of relevant experience in brake development and vehicle testing.
- Deep understanding of hydraulic and electro-mechanical braking systems, including controllers and stability functions.
- Familiarity with vehicle dynamics across various surface conditions and testing environments.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle instrumentation, data acquisition, and brake system integration.
- Proficiency with brake performance tools and software such as CANalyzer, INCA, MDA, MATLAB/Simulink, and Racelogic Vbox.
