Bookkeeper / Office Manager | Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Lansing seeking Bookkeeper / Office Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full cycle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations.
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Oversee general office administration, including managing supplies, vendors, and office equipment.
  • Provide administrative support to the management and production teams as needed.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare basic financial reports for management review.
  • Coordinate facility-related services and maintenance for the manufacturing plant.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience in full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated experience in office administration and management, including vendor relations and record keeping.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment, understanding inventory and cost accounting basics.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail for financial accuracy and administrative efficiency.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP Business One, Sage 100, NetSuite)
  • Basic understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory valuation
  • Experience providing HR administrative support (e.g., onboarding, benefits administration)
  • Proficiency with manufacturing-specific accounting modules or inventory management software
