This is an exciting opportunity for a Boiler Service Technician who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys solving complex mechanical problems, and is looking to grow with a company that values experience, teamwork, and dependability.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Boiler Service Technician position include:
- Experience as a commercial boiler service technician 2 years required, particular servicing old-school commercial boilers, particularly Cleaver-Brooks, H.B. Smith, and similar legacy models
- Ability to handle emergency service calls and be part of an on-call rotation schedule
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair large steam and electric boilers
- Willingness to travel across North Jersey (Vernon to Sayreville) with eventual take-home company van
- Team player who can contribute to a close-knit field service crew and help carry the load
- No certifications required, but welding certifications are a plus
- Must be comfortable working in school district settings under public works contracts
- Occasional installation projects (1-2 per year), though primarily focused on service and maintenance
Salary: $110,000+ per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including $1,000/month cash benefit for healthcare, 2 weeks PTO starting after 3 months (with access after 2 weeks), and discretionary annual bonus based on company performance.
