THE POSITION:
As a Biomedical Equipment Technician, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the dialysis/ancillary machines, compliance, facility upkeep, and supply inventory.
- Performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to dialysis equipment, water treatment systems and as required and recommended by the manufacturer and established by company policy and procedures.
- Participates in preventive maintenance of all ancillary equipment, assuring it follows the manufacturer's recommendations and follows company policies and procedures, industry standards, and local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Performs water and dialysate sample collection and processing and reviews and participates in evaluating and reporting of quality results per applicable policies and procedures.
- Participates in monthly QAPI meetings, assisting with the analysis, assembly, and assimilation of information and data and contributing to technical discussion, including reporting outcomes and creating and implementing improvement plans.
- Conducts weekly and monthly audits for water, equipment documentation, and physical plant inspections per company policies and procedures.
- Participates in managing medical supply inventory by managing par values, making sure the program has the correct inventory to support the patient treatments, performing physical inventory counts, and generating a physical inventory report.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- Current Drivers License
- Electronics Degree or Certification Preferred
- Dialysis Experience Preferred
THE LOCATION:
The Biomedical Equipment Technician will be based in the Orlando region.
