BIM Coordinator

System One is assisting a client in hiring a BIM Coordinator to support engineering and design efforts for out electrical contractor client in Austin, Texas. This role is on-site and will support cross-discipline Revit modeling and coordination for Electrical systems, ensuring project models are accurate, coordinated, and delivered to high standards.

We are seeking a detail-oriented BIM Coordinator with strong Revit experience to manage and maintain BIM models, coordinate across disciplines, and assist with construction documentation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to expand into electrical BIM work.

Key Responsibilities

BIM & Modeling

• Develop, manage, and maintain Revit models and associated BIM deliverables in alignment with project standards and schedules.

• Coordinate BIM models across disciplines (Mechanical, Plumbing, Architectural, Structural, and Electrical).

• Assist with clash detection, resolve coordination issues, and communicate changes to project teams.

• Produce and update construction drawings, details, and schedules from Revit models.

Project Support & QA/QC

• Support the BIM Manager and Project Engineers with documentation, quality assurance, and model auditing.

• Ensure compliance with project BIM execution plans and client requirements.

• Collaborate with project teams to streamline workflows and improve model quality.

• Participate in coordination meetings and help translate design intent into accurate BIM deliverables.

Qualifications

Required

• Proficient in Autodesk Revit (minimum 3+ years preferred).

• Experience producing and coordinating discipline drawings.

• Strong understanding of BIM principles and workflows.

• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Comfortable troubleshooting Revit models and performing quality control checks.

Preferred

• Experience with electrical BIM modeling or familiarity with electrical systems.

• Clash detection experience with Navisworks or similar tools.

• Understanding of CADD standards, templates, families, and libraries.

• Experience working in a consulting or contractor environment.
