Billing Specialist

(Team is flexible: 8:30–5:30 or 9:00–6:00 options available)

We’re partnering with a well-established, highly respected professional services firm in Grand Rapids to add a Billing Specialist to their collaborative finance team. This organization operates in a large, complex environment and is known for a culture that prioritizes teamwork, pride in work, and genuine connection. Dress code is business casual, jeans are fine.

What You’ll Be Doing

Client Billing

  • Review and incorporate attorney feedback into client invoices

  • Prepare and send accurate, timely invoices to clients

  • Manage varying daily volumes, from straightforward to more complex billing matters

Billing Inquiries

  • Monitor a shared billing inbox

  • Respond to billing questions with a high level of professionalism and customer service

Client Billing Systems

  • Monitor client billing portals and systems

  • Address rejections, questions, or issues to help ensure timely payment

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and mathematical skills

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment

  • Experience with Aderant or similar legal billing systems


MaxSalary: USD70000
MinSalary: USD60000
