Overview:

Salary Range: $40,000-$50,000

 

Summary:
The Billing Specialist position is an integral part of our customer interfacing team. Primary responsibilities include generating accurate and timely invoices and carrier payments. Analyze and identify issues with billing and ticket discrepancies and communicate findings with customers, dispatch, and sales to obtain resolution.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review, edit, and process a high volume of delivery tickets across multiple business entities.
• Compare data in Sales Force and Dynamics D365 billing system with order information, price sheets, and freight rates in XBE dispatch software
• Process and maintain COD customers credit card transactions
• Investigate internal and external discrepancies involving pricing, freight and freight pay rates and communicate the findings with the team
• Review all billing documentation to ensure accuracy
• Process and reconcile hauler pay data within XBE to ensure accurate and timely carrier payments
• Respond to requests from internal/external customers about invoice questions and ticket requests
• Maintain and process tax exempt transactions Global Responsibilities:
• Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position
• This job may require additional billing or clerical duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs

 

Qualifications:


Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

 

Experience:
• Minimum 2-3+ years of relevant billing experience required
• Microsoft D365 experience a plus
• Aggregate/Transportation industry experience preferred; dispatch/accounting experience a plus
• Experience with billing and dispatch software applications, Sales Force/D365/XBE a plus

 

Skills/Abilities:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
• Demonstrate initiative with the ability to multitask and collaborate in a fast-paced environment to meet department deadlines
• Adapts well to change
• Strong analytic ability with a capacity for critical problem solving; high level of accuracy and attention to detail a must
• Ability to effectively communicate to meet customer service levels both externally and internally across all levels of the organization
