We are a team of mental health counselors with offices located in South Florida with a focus on children, teens, and adults.The Billing Coordinator is responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely payments, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.This role serves as a key liaison between clients, payers, and internal departments to resolve billing issues and maintain accurate financial records.
Duties and Responsibilities may include:
- Daily submitting and billing of claims through online billing module and with external payor portals
- Daily claim status updates of claims with external payors
- Daily recording of payments received from payors and clients within Electronic Health Record software
- Daily reconciliation of bank accounts
- Analyze and interpret EOB's
- Responsible for correcting, completing and processing claims for all payer codes
- Perform follow-up on unprocessed or unpaid claims; including filing appeals
- Assist with verification of benefits for clients
- Handle medical record requests from insurance companies
- Undergo HIPAA training to maintain patient confidence and keep patient information confidential
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)
2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle experience
Knowledge of billing procedures, insurance processes, and payment posting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in billing software, Google Suites and Microsoft Office
Work Environment
Remote setting
Standard business hours with occasional overtime during peak billing cycles
Compensation is $21 per hour.

- One to three years experience at a medical billing company in behavioral health billing preferred
