The Staff Pad has partnered with a healthcare organization in Helena, Montana to hire a Billing Customer Service Representative. This role supports Patient Financial Services by assisting patients with billing questions, payment options, and financial assistance programs while ensuring accurate account documentation and compliance with healthcare billing regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide customer support for patient billing inquiries, including charge explanations, insurance activity, and payment options
Collect deposits, deductibles, and co-insurance amounts as appropriate
Assist patients with payment plans and financial assistance applications
Evaluate patient financial information to determine eligibility for assistance programs
Maintain accurate documentation within patient accounts and billing systems
Manage inbound and outbound calls regarding billing questions and account follow-ups
Process patient correspondence, disputes, and collection-related inquiries
Reconcile daily cash transactions and credit card payments
Ensure compliance with patient financial services policies and healthcare regulations
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills and experience working with multiple systems
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing, or healthcare financial services preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
