Job Title: Billing Analyst – Institutional & Retirement Billing
Location: Pennington, NJ 08534 (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)
Alternate Location: Dallas, TX
Pay Rate: $22.00/Hour
Contract Duration: 10 Months + Ext (Depending on work performance)

About the Role:
  • The Institutional and Retirement Billing Team supports Workplace Benefits by providing accurate billing and invoicing services for a wide range of retirement and benefit plans.
  • This role is crucial in revenue generation, ensuring timely collection, and maintaining accurate fee setup.
  • The analyst will also participate in audits, process improvements, and departmental initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support billing and invoicing for plan sponsors across multiple products (401k, stock plan services, deferred compensation, defined benefit plans, etc.).
  • Generate and distribute invoices contributing to multi-million-dollar annual revenue.
  • Perform fee collection, receivable reconciliation, and billing rate setup to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Stay updated on Retirement Product platform changes, enhancements, and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with department standards, provide management updates, and support audits.
  • Research and resolve escalated inquiries from internal and external business partners.
  • Assist in maintaining procedural documentation, process maps, and system testing.
  • Identify risks, escalate issues, and contribute to risk management efforts.
  • Lead or participate in special projects and departmental initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on billing processes while fostering collaborative relationships across teams.

Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in reconciliation, billing, project management, trading, or managed products service support.
  • General knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve complex issues.
  • Career-oriented with a growth mindset.
  • Proficiency with technology and its use in process improvements.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of financial products such as mutual funds, alternative investments, managed products, and retirement products.
  • Experience in an operational or financial services environment.
